Nature: Patterns & Perserverence
HELLO THERE!
I am Joe Lieber and am a photographer, landscape architect, and generally a curious person about the universe in general. I began photography at about 8 years old with a Brownie camera taking B & W images. In my early 20s I bought my first 35mm Nikkormat Nikon camera and a 50mm lens. During most of my adulthood I have taken mainly 35 mm slides and some medium format slides and negative films. More recently I have delved into both digital and large format photography. These are somewhat at opposite ends of the spectrum. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.
My curiosity has lead to a lot of travel as is evidenced in my images you see on this website. I have taken classes with very accomplished photographers such as Lewis Kemper, Kim Weston and Randy Efros in both digital and analog photography respectively. These experiences always open my perspective in unforeseen ways.
For more on my approach to photography, see the"Philosophy & Approach" page.
